The Matchday is a private score-prediction game for small groups of friends, operated by Saahil Lakhani as an individual (the “data controller” for UK GDPR purposes). Contact us at noreply@thematchday.co.uk.
2. The service
The Matchday lets you and your friends predict Premier League scores in a private league. The service is provided free of charge. By using the service you agree to these Terms.
3. No affiliation with the Premier League
The Matchday is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the Premier League or any football club. Team names are used for identification purposes only.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data;
- disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service;
- submit content that is abusive, harassing, or unlawful.
5. Your account
You sign in with an email address. You are responsible for any activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
6. No warranty
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that match data shown will always be accurate or up to date.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under UK law.
8. Donations
Voluntary donations are processed by a third-party payment provider (e.g. Stripe). We do not store your card details. Donations are non-refundable except where required by law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
